El Test del radón
El
radón es un gas radiactivo, no se ve, no se huele, se acumula en las
partes bajas de la casas porque es más pesado que el aire. Cuando hay
mucho puede causar cáncer de garganta o pulmones. DCFS pide que todas
las proveedoras que van a sacar o renovar su licencia después del uno de
enero del 2014 tengan un test de radón.
Para eso:
1. Compre un test. Walmart tiene uno de $19.00
pro-lab RA100 Do-it-yourself Radon gas test kit, muy completo, trae
dos detectores la caja. También ACE y MENARD tienen test a la venta. Aparte del precio al comprarlo, tendrá que pagar entre 30 y 50 dólares para que analicen los resultados.
2. Sigue las instrucciones que vienen con el test, son muy fáciles. Básicamente es tenerlo expuesto un tiempo en su casa.
3. Lo manda al laboratorio, y en una semana le mandan sus resultados.
4. Pone los resultados junto a su licencia.
Si
tiene concentraciones muy altas, que sean peligrosas, puede hacer algo
para reducirlas, esto es por su propia seguridad, pero DCFS no le obliga
a hacer nada.
