EJEMPLO: PLAN DE PROTECCIÓN DE POSIBLES PELIGROS
Peligros identificados:
Escaleras: Tengo dos
tramos de escaleras. Un tramo que conduce al segundo nivel y el otro que
conduce al sótano. Las escaleras hasta el segundo nivel están cerradas con
llave, impidiendo el acceso a los niños al piso de arriba ellos solos. Las
escaleras hasta el sótano son inaccesibles ya que tienen una puerta asegurada
con un pestillo suficientemente alto para evitar que los niños alcancen a abrir
la puerta.
Piscina: una piscina de
4 pies de profundidad no será utilizada en absoluto por los niños de la
Guardería. La escalera de la piscina se retira y la valla que rodea la piscina
es de 6 metros de altura con una puerta cerrada.
Perro del vecino: Los
niños no podrán jugar en el patio lateral que linda con el patio del vecino.
Los niños serán vigilados por un adulto mientras estén fuera.
Trampolín: El trampolín no se utilizará nunca por los
niños de la guardería. Todos los niños serán vigilados por un adulto mientras estén
fuera.
Chimenea: La chimenea en
mi casa no será utilizada durante las horas de atención a los niños.de juegos:
Los niños podrá jugar al aire libre en el patio trasero cercado. Ellos serán vigilados
en todo momento mientras juegan fuera.
Salidas a parques
cercanos: De vez en cuando, llevaré a los niños a un parque del barrio. Caminaremos
con seguridad en la acera e impediré que crucen la calle sin mí. Ellos estarán
estrechamente vigilados en todo momento mientras se camina hacia y desde el
parque, así como en el parque
Tráfico: Se espera que
los padres vengan a la casa para dejar y recoger a sus hijos.
Herramientas: Todas las
herramientas de jardinería y de cualquier clase, están bien guardadas en el
garaje siendo inaccesible para los niños bajo mi cuidado.
Medicinas: El botiquín
está enllavado y se mantiene fuera del alcance de los niños.
Productos de limpieza:
Los productos de limpieza están encerradas bajo llave y se almacenan fuera del
alcance de los niños.
Pruebas de Radón: se
hace una prueba completa al menos una vez cada 3 años.

HAZARD PROTECTION PLAN
Identified Hazards:
Stairs: I have two sets of
stairs. One set that leads to the second level and the other which leads to the
basement. The stairs to the second level are gated denying access to children not
allowing them to go upstairs by themselves. The stairs to the basement are
inaccessible by a door which is secured with a latch high enough to prevent the
children form unlocking the door.
Swimming Pool: 4 foot
above-ground swimming pool will not be used at all by the Day Care children.
The pool ladder is removed and the fence surrounding the pool is 6 feet high
with a locked gate.
Neighbor's dog: Children will not
be allowed to play on the side yard which adjoins to the neighbor's yard. All
children will be supervised by and adult while outside.
Trampoline: Trampoline will not be used at all by day care children. All children
will be supervised by an adult while outside.
Fireplace: The fireplace in my
home will not be used during day care hours.
Outside Play Area: Children will
play outside in fenced backyard. They will be supervised at all time while
playing outside.
Travel to nearby parks: From time
to time, I will take the children to a park in the neighborhood. I will walk
them safely on the sidewalk and prevent them from crossing the street without
me walking with them. They will be closely supervised at all times while
walking to and from the park, as well as being at the park
Traffic: Parents will be expected
to come into the house to pick up and drop off their children.
Tools: All tools, gardening and
otherwise, are locked in the garage and inaccessible to the children in my day
care.
Medicine: Medicine is locked and
stored out of the reach of the children.
Cleaning Supplies: Cleaning
Supplies are locked and stored out of the reach of the children.
Radon Testing completed at least
once every 3 years.
